In accordance with a belief in accountability, confidentiality, excellence and competence, the Infection and Prevention Control policies and procedures of KMHC take into account the safety and dignity of clients, visitors, healthcare workers and provide direction for a coordinated approach to implementation; and facilitate the measure of current infection and control standards.

Infection Prevention and Control is involved in all areas of KMHC.

Services Provided

To ensure the policies and procedures are being followed, the Infection and Prevention Control Nurse does ongoing teaching with healthcare providers, clients and families, and consulting with other organizations.
